Broken hearted fruit

Posted by Ray

This piece was a practice piece that I decided to do before the final for a technique called the "ink-wash off."  Pouring inking all over your painted piece, we washed it off.  Each time was different like a lottery ticket....As sad as it was this practice piece turned out better than my handed in piece.  Besides that I really like it.

What girls think?

I had these really silly ideas, that I've finally decide to use for a project.  After finishing this piece I felt like I should go towards the humor ideas.  I really enjoyed doing silly stuff like this.  Bytheway this was called a gouache "wash-off."  Pretty much you paint gouache on it then wash it under a sink and WaLa.  Magic!

Boy with orb

This was originally one of my doodles in a more boring class.  Also originally it supposed to have a candy bar in the orb, but I changed it for concept.  I thought it would be interesting to tested out the simply design with a new medium called "Gou'ache"  And it turned out pretty good first the first time. Gouache is so the bomb!

This assignment was another technique using acrylic.  I used the "wet-dry sand off technique" which used a glossy medium and then sand it off with wet sand paper, making the image bling.. bling!  This piece was the one that made me feel like I was started to understand acrylic....

This is another one of those acrylic assignments.  It's called "the sand-off technique."  Putting acrylic paint on and then sanding stuff off, giving it a awesome effect!  It was one of those that I felt click more to me!
